SUMMER DEVELOPMENT CAMP

Come join us for a fantastic week at Sugar Bowl Ski Team & Academy for a cross country (nordic) summer development camp! Enjoy our amazing trail network, jump on the Pacific Crest Trail for a hike, drop down to Washington, CA for some low elevation rollerskiing, enjoy Donner Lake for some upper body training and learn how the best put together a great dryland season of training. This week is designed to help developing nordic skiers take their skills to the next level while having a ton of fun!

8:30 am - 1:15 pm - longer day hike with bag lunches
1:30 - 2:00 pm - after lunch swim
2:15 - 3:15 pm - goal setting, whole athlete classroom

9:10 - 11:30 am - Judah hike

what to bring

  • High visibility clothing for rollerskiing

  • Helmet

  • Swimsuit and towel for swimming and showers

  • Sunscreen and hat

  • Two pairs of running shoes (only clean shoes allowed in gym and shoes may get wet on adventures)

  • Training clothes appropriate for the day’s weather

  • Water bottle or hydration pack you can take with you to run, hike, and rollerski

  • Bars or workout fuel that isn’t messy
