The youngest campers enjoy structured and unstructured playtime. Expect your kids to return worn-out (and dirty) from a day of running around outside, playing games, gold panning, doing arts & crafts, plus cooling off at Lake Mary.

Marmots - Ages 7-9

$700

The Marmot age group will experience adventures deeper into the Sierra, exploring the history and culture of the region while enjoying all the beauty of the mountains. There will still be plenty of games and activities, including canoeing, swimming, paddleboarding, fishing, gold panning, performance art and more. Marmots will enjoy an exciting week filled with adventure and wonder.

Pine Martens - Ages 10-12

Why Sugar Bowl Summer Camp?

World-Class Trail Network

Between Sugar Bowl and Royal Gorge, we offer miles of private mountain trails for hiking and biking plus basecamp sits next to the world-renowned Pacific Crest Trail. There is plenty of space to explore and have fun.

High-Alpine Lake Mary

Campers have access to the quintessential mountain lake, tailor-made for swimming, canoeing, fishing, paddleboarding, and waterside fun. The hardest part is getting kids to leave the lake to enjoy other activities.

Basecamps at Village Hall & sugar bowl academy campus

Centrally located in the heart of Sugar Bowl, Village Hall, and the Sugar Bowl Academy campus will be the epicenter for fun. Campers will use these facilities as their basecamp for adventure, utilizing the classroom space to dive deeper into the history and culture they learned about during their fun Sierra excursions.

Dedicated Staff of Educators & Counselors

The Sugar Bowl Ski Team & Academy's experience teaching kids on snow and in the classroom translates perfectly to the summer educational development you want to see in a Summer Camp.  SBSTA knows how to connect with kids while keeping them safe and engaged in fun and adventure. The leadership team of teachers and counselors at SBSTA have developed a national reputation for taking a holistic approach to education, athletics, academics, and mountain sports. They pride themselves on much more than their programs; we are in the business of youth and character development that focuses on respect, integrity, empathy, sportsmanship, and the pursuit of personal excellence.

Most Importantly ... Pure Summer Fun

All of the planning for these programs is designed to support your kids having FUN. A week is not enough to participate in all the activities available at Sugar Bowl Summer Camp. We strongly believe that a combination of structured activities and choice provide optimal opportunities for personal growth. Experiences range from hiking to studying petroglyphs to learning about the Emigrant Trail.  These activities allow campers to grow and develop independence. We feel this freedom of choice is critical to developing independence and responsibility. They will have a blast the entire time!
