Coaching Roster

J1/2

Aaron Atkins – Head J1/2 Men's Coach & Competition Director
Aaron was formerly the Head Alpine Coach for the University of Utah where the team placed third, second, and first in the NCAA National Championships in the last three years.  While Aaron’s coaching successes abound (e.g., sending U of U skier Pierre Olsson back to the Swedish National Team and qualifying 23 out of 28 J3 athletes for the Junior Olympics while coaching for the Park City Ski Team), his focus is primarily on helping his athletes gain self confidence and to learn to enjoy preparing to compete.  “Traditionally the best skiers are the one’s who really have fun every time the hit the slopes,” states Atkins.  Aaron also has six years of teaching experience (ranging from History to Biology) and was formerly the Dean of Students at the Winter School in Park City.  Aaron’s primary responsibility will be to the J1/2 men, however as Competition Director he will be helping to best utilize all of the resources at the J1/2/3 level and form a cohesive program for the entire Sugar Bowl Ski Team.
Hermann Gollner – Head J1/2 Women’s Coach
Originally from Austria, Hermann has the advantage of having world class athletic experience himself in both skiing and rock climbing in addition to being a former U.S. Ski Team coach. Hermann has coached a number of athletes onto National Teams you certainly won’t find a coach more dedicated to the success of his athletes.
